Jimmy’s guitar lesson philosophy is that if he is doing his job, students in Atlanta will be inspired to practice and will want to come back. There are never any arbitrary, corporate style, “sign up fees” nor lengthy contracts that “lock you in” and make you feel like you are joining a gym or signing an apartment lease. However, over the years, the pricing list has evolved to create variety of lesson packages to fit the diverse needs and requests of many different guitar lessons clients. By popular demand, there is a noted emphasis on bulk pricing discounts.

Format and Scheduling:
Guitar lessons Atlanta Tuition includes all materials, save the rare songbook for challenging artists (i.e Dream Theater) that are difficult to transcribe quickly in a one hour lesson. You will not be required to buy any method books. Audio and video recordings of the lessons are welcomed and strongly encouraged. The increased learning retention when audio and video are used is significant.
Depending on scheduling needs, preferred method of study and metro Atlanta driving distance, students can elect one of the following:
1) Four, 30 minute guitar lessons (once per week)
2) Two one hour guitar lessons (bi-monthly)
3) Four one hour lessons (once per week)
Weekly one hour guitar lessons are recommended for intermediate and advanced players or beginners with prior musical experience who are highly motivated to progress quickly. You will get the most out of lessons involving chord mechanics, theory and composition, and improvisation by maintaining such a regimen and practicing 30min/day or more. For those Atlanta students with less practice time and/or who are on a budget, 30 minute guitar lessons once per week are recommended for those who prefer a more structured guitar lessons regimen. This works well for personality types who are motivated best by weekly deadlines. Bimonthly one hour instruction works well for guitar students who are primarily self directed learners and/or who travel frequently outside Atlanta and have erratic schedules.
